URGENT UPDATE - Phlebotomy service (Blood tests) for the Wellspring Patient
Phlebotomy is not part of the core GP contract and Nottingham and Nottinghamshire County Integrated Care Board (ICB) commission the phlebotomy service for Wellspring surgery patients.
Unfortunately, the phlebotomy services in St Anns Valley Centre will cease as we have not been able to overturn the commissioner’s decision and keep this service here in St Anns.
NUH (QMC and City Hospital) phlebotomy clinics undertake urgent GP blood tests but will revert to no longer providing routine phlebotomy for GP Patients after 30.09.22.
As from 1st October 2022 you will need to attend NCGPA in the city centre to have your routine bloods taken.
If you have any issues / concerns about the commissioning of phlebotomy service in St Anns please contact the ICB patient advice and complaints
Telephone: 0115 8839570 or Email: nnccg.patientexperience@nhs.net

You may also wish to contact your local Councillor / MP (contact details below) to highlight the need for a local phlebotomy service at St Anns.
